Joe Bruen

Managing Director, BBS, M.Sc.(M.P), QFA, FLIA

Joe established Bruen Financial Services Ltd in 2009, continuing a 75 year family tradition of independent financial services in the midlands and west. Joe has over 15 years financial services experience working with the likes of AIB, Bank of Ireland, New Ireland Assurance and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He has an honours undergraduate degree in business from the University of Limerick, an honours master’s degree from UCD and has also obtained his QFA and FLIA qualifications through the Life Insurance Association.

Joe joined the Professional Insurance Brokers Association PR & Communications sub-committee in 2015 and was elected to the main board as Director in May 2016.

He joined the Financial Services committee of Brokers Ireland in 2017.

Joe lead the team that won the Regional Financial Planning Firm of the Year at the prestigious Life and Pensions Industry awards in the Mansion House in March 2018.

Joe is married to Caitlin and has 3 children.  He is Connacht season ticket holder and lifelong Liverpool FC fan.
